Oh B-O-Y!

Indeed. Where does the time go? Just about 7 months along now, happy, healthy and blessed beyond measure. I'm so excited about being a mom for the second time around. Having another boy takes really takes a lot of the pressure off, (ie. no clothes to by, cribs, $$$, $$$, etc.), and just as before, a couple of my girlfriends are pregnant all at the same time.

Disney's Mainstreet Barbers- My First Haircut
So, after a year resistance from Ken, and poor littleman's hair starting to resemble the likes of Don King, we finally visited the Barber at Disney's Main street. The barber(ess)put his first hair clippings into a little pouch, sprinkled with pixie dust, and a Mickey Mouse sticker to seal it. He also got a certificate of bravery, but its still debatable whether it should have gone to littleman or daddy.
They do such a great job there. He smiled the whole time, and our stylist was incredibly patient. Enjoy the photos!

1900 Park Fare & Disney's Grand Floridian
I can hardly believe it, but its true.. Littleman is a YEAR old! Its been a year of Exhileration, Elation, Excitement, and Exhaustion! Yet, I wouldn't change a moment of this chaos benignly labled Motherhood.
Despite seeing first hand, I'm still in awe of the handywork of God. As I watched my son take his many first over the last few months, I began to realize that he wasn't the only one changing. By fully immersing myself in motherhood, I aquired purpose, changing forever the way I view my world and the people in it..... Our son turned 1 surrounded by family in one of the happiest places on earth. Many of you have asked for the pictures and videos so here they are. Enjoy!!

Marian Gets Married! - Ghana W.Africa
Congratulations to the Newlyweds!
To my cousin Marian, you are a beautiful bride indeed. Wish I could have been in Ghana to see the events unfold. The pics however, were lovely. I'm still amazed of how much you favor an earlier picture of my mother. Marrying the love of one's life brings a peace that passes all understanding, and is surely one of my most cherished moments. I wish that same joy for you. I suppose since I've been living with this "arrangement" for some time, I'm now qualified to give a bit of advice.
Well... here goes....
Love him like its going out of style. Choose his side (even if it seems to be the the wrong one at first). Know that there will come a time to forsake all others. Its kind of in the fine print. Don't worry. Though some won't understand, the ones that matter will always come back.
Never carry fights beyond the day's end, for the bible says, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities. Remember that money, while necessary is nothing more than the source of much strife,so exercise wisdom in spending and saving it. Pray (together) about all things, (even the little ones), and you will never lose your way. And lastly, may the gifts of laughter and the pitter patter of little feet fill your home with love always.
Love,
Your Cousin
Sammia

Reason for Due Season
I've been asked a number of times how I came up with the blogtitle, and the themes behind the posts. The answer is really quite simple. To share the simple truth that God always provides as sufficient, when the time comes. (In due season). It is the very definition of the Herbrew word Jehovah-Jireh.
My hope is that in sharing some of our joys, laughs, and even our trials, that some readers would come to realize that we all do indeed serve a great God who answers prayer, and believe. The central theme to much of the story line is our son, who is our most treasured answered prayer, recieved in due season.
While the waiting seemed like forever, the end result proved to be the sum of all things hoped for. Unless you've been there, one could try to explain it, but some can never understand the joy in recieving after much longing. I belive that in their own due season, they will. Till then, be encouraged and only believe. All things are possible!
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
-Galatians 6:9 (King James Version)

A Saturday Sabbath

This weekend I finally got to use the gift certificate hubbykins gave me for Valentines day to my first ever trip to a spa. Missypoo and I had matching certificates (thanks John!) for a lovely, and so-badley-needed day of relaxation and rest. The surroundings were palacial, and the pedicure and manicure were heavenly, but couldn't hold a candle to the swedish massage that followed. My masseusse was wonderful. Missy enjoyed hers as well. I thought she had fallen asleep when I heard breathing across the room.. Only to find out that her masseausse was breathing all heavy during her massage.(Ummm.yeah, thats not creepy). Anywho... Even though at first, I felt a little out of place, I wasn't a complete villager.. I suppose I can keep up with the Joneses too.
Thanks hubby for wonderful day! Hopefully one day when we get some extra moolah I can come back again. (hint...hint..)

Oh Boy!

Yeah, those were the looks on our faces too!
Little Man reached the five... yes.. five month mark! We had to change out his carrier for a "boy car seat". Looks like he was really enjoying it though..... No more feet hanging over the car seat... Some major milestones this month including starting on small solids, learning to sit up (not quite by himself yet); learning the sound of his own voice, and reaching for things on his own. Enjoy!

Bounce Awaaaaaaaay!
I call it the bounce-o-matic. I'm pretty sure the toy company doesn't call it that, but hey.. Its mine now right? Little man's new "walker-without-wheels" seems to do the trick in confining him to a small area minus the prisonesque feel. I needed somewhere to put him so I could steal a few minutes getting some housework done. Too bad he lasts only about 10 minutes in it before ringing in the freakout session. His feet don't quite touch the base yet so he just sits in there rather than bounces. He're the footage of him in it for the first time after the my one hour assembly jon (Yikes!).I think the drool scene adds a little something extra, don't ya think?
Enjoy... I know we did!
